On March 28, 1959, Marilyn and husband Arthur Miller attended the New York premiere of Some Like It Hot at the Loew’s Capitol Theatre on Broadway, just north of Times Square. You can read more about the event over at Marilyn Remembered.
Some Like It Hot also heads up a list of 10 Timeless Comedy Masterpieces for the Screen Rant website today. “Marilyn Monroe steals the show as Sugar Kane,” Ben Sherlock writes. Old Hollywood classics His Girl Friday and Singin’ in the Rain are among the other entries.
