‘Some Like It Hot’ at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel

Los Angelenos can celebrate Marilyn’s 95th birthday on Tuesday (June 1st) with a poolside screening of Some Like It Hot at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, across from the TCL Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard. (Marilyn posed for a photographer by the Tropicana Pool in 1952, and it’s even claimed she haunts the hotel.)

Doors open at 6:30 pm, and fans can take pictures with the Marilyn waxwork from Madame Tussaud’s before the movie starts at 8:00. There’s also a Marilyn lookalike contest – to win a free cocktail, or candy from the food concession stand – and an add-on birthday celebration package (limited jumbers only.)
