The Marilyn Remembered fan club has confirmed its full itinerary of events to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Marilyn’s death next month in Los Angeles. Most of these events are now fully booked, but for fans outside LA, the memorial service will be live-streamed via Facebook.
- Dinner at the historic El Coyote Restaurant on Wednesday, August 3rd
- Lunch at the Rainbow Bar & Grill (formerly the Villa Nova Restaurant, site of Marilyn and Joe DiMaggio’s first date) and then a visit to the Academy Museum, on Thursday, August 4th
- 60th anniversary service at Westwood Memorial Park on Friday, August 5th
- World premiere of a new, feature-length documentary, Dreamgirl: The Making of Marilyn Monroe, from filmmaker Ian Ayres, at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Saturday, August 6 (At the time of writing, some tickets are still available – book here)
