River of No Return is showing at the Cinerama Filmtheater in Rotterdam this Thursday and Friday (April 6-7) and next Tuesday (April 11), as part of a series of classic movies starring Robert Mitchum.
“Matt Calder (Robert Mitchum), a rough man with a wild past, wants to build a future and starts a new life as a farmer. Everything is going well until they meet a shady couple, gambler Harry Weston (Rory Calhoun) and beautiful saloon singer Kay (Marilyn Monroe). Tricked and robbed by Weston, Matt decides to give chase and get his revenge. Unarmed and using a raft to travel down the river, Matt, Mark and Kay, abandoned by Weston, hunt down the impostor.”
