UK fans, take note: today’s Sunday Mirror includes a supplement celebrating 100 Years of Hollywood. Marilyn graces the cover (in a publicity still for Gentlemen Prefer Blondes), while inside, she appears twice in a list of Top 10 Must-See Movies: All About Eve is ranked fourth, with Some Like It Hot following in seventh place.
Marilyn is also featured in today’s magazine supplement for The Observer, as part of a cover story, ‘Breakfasting With the Stars.’ Her rather spartan morning meal of eggs in milk was first revealed in a 1952 article for Pageant magazine, ‘How I Stay in Shape.’ As Rebecca Seal comments: “Nourishing perhaps, but not especially delicious, which is why it’s nicer with a little added sugar, nutmeg and vanilla.”
