Marilyn’s 1954 trip to Korea has inspired a new graphic novel. Angel’s Wings is an aviation series by French artist Romain Hugault and author Yann Le Pennetier, following the escapades of Angela ‘Angel’ McCloud, a daring – and bodacious – ‘WASP’, or US Women’s Air Force pilot. In the eighth (and final) installment – out now as a 48-pp hardback – Angel battles to foil a murder plot against Marilyn while she entertains the troops. (The title, Angel Wings T8: Anything Goes, is a nod to the name of Marilyn’s band.)
