Marilyn’s Signed Photos (and Bracelet) at Heritage Auctions

Three very different photos signed by Marilyn are going under the hammer at Heritage Auctions this Thursday, July 27th. This 1953 pin-up by Bert Reisfeld – with Marilyn in her famous Lucite heels – is inscribed: ‘To Dick It’s a pleasure to work with you Marilyn Monroe’.

A panoramic graduation photo for Emerson Junior High‘s class of 1941 includes an inscription on the verso: ‘to a super super kid – (a darn cute one at that!) Norma Jeane Baker 5 ’41.’ The photo was taken a month before her 15th birthday.

This cheeky image from a 1946 modelling shoot is personally inscribed to photographer Joe Jasgur: ‘To My Sweet Joseph, Kiss & Love Norma Jeane Dougherty’.

Silent movie comedian turned cheesecake photographer Harold Lloyd accompanied Philippe Halsman on his 1952 LIFE session – Marilyn’s first cover story for the magazine, shot in her suite at the Beverly Carlton Hotel.

Marilyn is seen here with Arthur Miller and Paula Strasberg on Coronado Beach near San Diego. The photo was taken by Richard C. Miller (no relation) during filming of Some Like It Hot in 1958.

This oversize print shows Marilyn leaving Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York with publicist Pat Newcomb in 1961, and is signed by photographer I.C. Rapoport.

And finally, in addition to further photos by David Conover and Andre de Dienes, a faux pearl bracelet with gold clasp – from the Lee Strasberg estate, and formerly owned by Marilyn – is also on offer.
