Bob Willoughby Brings Marilyn to Missouri (and Beyond)

Backstage Hollywood: The Photographs of Bob Willoughby opens today at Crisp Museum, part of Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. This photo of Marilyn on the set of Let’s Make Love (1960) – possibly with cinematographer Daniel L. Fapp – is among 92 images on display. Willoughby first photographed Marilyn at bandleader Ray Anthony’s house party in 1952, and his work in the movie industry was the subject of a recent book, A Cinematic Life.

Backstage Hollywood is a touring exhibition, with further stops planned after leaving Missouri on January 7, 2024.
