Actress Diana Herbert was the daughter of writer-director F. Hugh Herbert, and in 1947, she met Marilyn on the set of her first film, Scudda Hoo! Scudda Hay! Although Diana didn’t make the final cut, she got to know Marilyn quite well, and in later years, was a regular guest at the annual memorial services in Los Angeles.
