A range of officially licensed t-shirts featuring images of Marilyn by photographer Milton Greene is now available from European fashion chain ZARA.

This t-shirt features a classic photo from the Ballerina Sitting, with text reading ‘October 1954, New York’ on the back. Actually, the session took place in September, while Marilyn was shooting scenes for The Seven Year Itch in NYC – still, the date is close enough!

A relaxed image from the Wicker Chair Sitting – also shot in September 1954 – is featured alongside a somewhat ironic quote from Marilyn’s last interview: “I feel that beauty and femininity are ageless and can’t be contrived, and glamour, although the manufacturers won’t like it, can’t be manufactured …”

And finally, this photo of Marilyn with a Pekingese dog from the so-called Oriental Sitting is accompanied by text reading ‘February 1955, New York’, with Marilyn’s distinctive signature printed on the sleeve.

These designs are selling out fast, so order online now or visit your local branch of ZARA. A fourth Greene photo was featured in a previous design, which can still be found on eBay.

And Marilyn’s signature was also featured on this Black Star t-shirt, produced for ZARA in 2020.
