Celebrations for Marilyn’s 100th year are already underway in Europe, with Niagara showing at the Barberini Cinema in Rome on Tuesday, February 3 at 7:30 pm, concluding “a film festival dedicated to Norma Jeane: not just a pop icon, but a talented, surprising actress, often hidden behind rumors and the label of ‘ditzy’ sewn onto her by the media.”

Meanwhile in Spain, Celebrating Marilyn – a free exhibition at the Conde Duque Cultural Centre in Madrid, featuring an eclectic range of vintage posters, photographs, and Marilyn-inspired art from the private collection of filmmaker and scholar José Luis Rupérez – closes on Sunday, February 1.

With time running out, latecomers can view Marilyn superfan Edoardo Caballero’s photos from the exhibition here.
