A screening of Some Like It Hot will top the bill in a fundraising event for The Westlake in Hamilton, Ontario on Saturday, February 14 at 7:00 pm, as the Canadian cinema celebrates its 91st anniversary.
“Celebrate 91 years of The Westdale! Join us for a special evening featuring live entertainment, drinks and hors d’oeuvres, and an exciting live auction—all leading up to a screening of Some Like It Hot!
As we conclude our 90th anniversary year, this event marks the final push for our 90th Year Capital Fundraising Campaign, during which a generous donor is matching all contributions. This means every gala ticket purchased and every dollar raised during the live auction will be doubled! All proceeds will go toward paying down The Westdale’s mortgage debt, helping to secure our historic theatre’s future for years to come.
So come out for a joyful night of film, food, and community all while supporting The Westdale and its future. Dressing up is encouraged; the vibe is 1930s glamour! Doors open at 6:00 pm with live music by the Hamilton All-Star Jazz Band to welcome you. We look forward to celebrating with you!”
