A weekend marathon of Marilyn’s movies at Cinéma Le Paradis in Quiberon, France begins on Friday, April 10, with Niagara showing at 8:30 pm. River Of No Return is showing on Saturday, April 11, followed by Some Like It Hot at 8:30 pm; and the marathon concludes with The Misfits on Sunday, April 12 at 8:30 pm. Concurrently, Maison de la Presse will launch a pop-up bookstore on Saturday; and a selection of film posters is now on display in the media library until May 2.
The weekend’s events will be presented by Juliette Michaud, a member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), which hosts the Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles. She is also the author of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2014), a history of the movie capital published in English and French editions, with Marilyn and her Some Like It Hot co-stars featured on the cover – and unrelated to Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 blockbuster of the same name.
