Marilyn makes a fleeting appearance in the April 2026 issue of UK nostalgia mag Yours Retro (#99, with Clint Eastwood on the cover.) She’s pictured in ‘Glamour By Design,’ a 3-page feature about the Hollywood adventures of English photographer Cecil Beaton.
Marilyn posed for Beaton at the Ambassador Hotel in New York in February 1956. He wrote an essay accompanying the shoot, on assignment for Harper’s Bazaar. Beaton’s assistant, Edward Pfizenmaier, captured photographer and model in his own images from the day.
“With the captivating Marilyn Monroe, it was ‘love at first sight,'” Amy Ahmed-Dolphin writes, though he “unwittingly foretold that her journey would ‘probably end in tears.'”

Elsewhere, Tony Curtis shares some ‘wise words’; and this month’s recommended reading includes Anthony Uzarowski’s Lauren Bacall: The Queen of Cool.

And finally, two of Marilyn’s fellow blonde bombshells are also featured: the legendary Mae West, and British starlet Sabrina.
