In July, the French e-zine Crazy For You published pictorials on Marilyn’s test shots for The Misfits in New York, and her arrival in Reno, Nevada. In September 1960, a weary Marilyn made her return to the set after a week’s hospitalisation. The cover shot for the latest issue was taken by either Inge Morath or Henri Cartier-Bresson (who were covering the shoot for the Magnum photo agency) in the Millers’ suite at the Mapes Hotel.
