Orry Kelly, the Australian-born Hollywood costumer who won an Oscar for Some Like It Hot, is given a four-page tribute in the latest issue of UK nostalgia mag Yours Retro (#46, with Gregory Peck on the cover.) The article includes a photo of Marilyn on the set with Maurice Chevalier, wrongly identified as the designer – who can be seen with her in the images shown above.
In his posthumously published memoir, Women I’ve Undressed, Kelly wrote that Marilyn was extremely demanding. A feature-length documentary, Women He’s Undressed, was also released in 2015.
