Marilyn is featured twice in the December 2022 issue of UK nostalgia mag Yours Retro (#57, with Tony Curtis on the cover.) An article headlined ‘The Best Intentions’ looks at Hollywood stars and their new year’s resolutions, including a list Marilyn wrote at the back of an address book after moving to New York in 1955. While the note is undated, it’s a reminder of how focused on self-improvement she was throughout her life.
Elsewhere, the ivory pleated silk halter dress worn by Marilyn in the famous ‘subway grate’ scene from The Seven Year Itch is the subject of this issue’s regular ‘Screen Chic’ feature. Another Travilla costume, Marilyn’s pink satin sheath gown from the ‘Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend’ number in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, was featured in the March 2021 issue – see here.
