New Book Re-Investigates the Untimely Death of ‘Iconic’ Marilyn

Icon: What Killed Marilyn Monroe – Volume One is the latest book from Gary Vitacco-Robles, author of Icon: The Life, Times, and Films of Marilyn Monroe, and Cursum Perficio: Marilyn’s Brentwood Hacienda – The Story of Her Final Months. In this new book – the first in a two-part series – Gary investigates both the causes of Marilyn’s untimely death and the proliferation of conspiracy theories that followed.

Milton Greene’s so-called ‘graduation portrait’ of Marilyn, taken while they were filming test shots for The Prince and the Showgirl in 1956 (and one of her favourite images of herself), graces the front cover; while a still photo from Marilyn’s Dark Paradise – an upcoming short film directed by Remi Gangarossa, starring Stephanie Stuart, and co-produced by Gary himself – is featured on the back cover.

Icon: What Killed Marilyn Monroe – Volume One is available now in hardback and paperback, and digital formats.
