
Irish broadcaster RTÉ is celebrating Marilyn’s centenary with a musical tribute at the National Concert Hall in Dublin on Thursday, June 4th.
“Conducted by Stephen Bell and featuring acclaimed vocalist Katie Birtill, the concert will showcase unforgettable music from some of Monroe’s most beloved films, including Some Like It Hot, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. and There’s No Business Like Show Business.
Audiences will be transported back to the golden age of Hollywood as the RTÉ Concert Orchestra performs music associated with Monroe’s legendary screen career, capturing the glamour, wit and timeless appeal that made her one of cinema’s enduring stars.
Katie Birtill will perform songs from Ladies of the Chorus, Niagara, River of No Return, and Bus Stop, alongside iconic classics including ‘Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend’ and ‘I Wanna Be Loved By You’.
