Marilyn at Home, From Hollywood to Connecticut

Marilyn lived at over 40 addresses in her lifetime (full list here), and a few of them are featured in Good Housekeeping‘s gallery of images showing classic Hollywood stars at home. The above photo was taken at the Beverly Carlton Hotel (now the Avalon), where she lived from 1949-51, and again in ’52. (It is not, as the article suggests, the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.)

The second photo shows Marilyn with Arthur Miller outside his farmhouse on Tophet Road in Roxbury, Connecticut (not Upstate New York as described), shortly before their marriage in 1956. Arthur had bought the property with his first wife, and sold it shortly afterwards. And the final photo shows the Millers a year later, in the garage of their new home, also on Tophet Road.
