In the Press: Marilyn’s Leading Men, Beauty Secrets

The Monroe-Montand affair is a perennial favourite topic in European media, with a Paris Match cover story and a Yours Retro feature in the last year alone. Now the Italian weekly Gente is looking back on Marilyn’s ‘dangerous liaison’ in its latest issue, dated March 6, numbered #8 and with Francesca Manzini on the cover – available in the UK from March 12. (Incidentally, Yves Montand was born Ivo Livi in Tuscany in 1921, but his family moved to France when he was two years old, to escape Mussolini’s fascist regime.)

Meanwhile, Marilyn’s skincare regime (devised by Erno Laszlo) is featured in the March 1 issue of US biweekly Antique Trader. She is also mentioned in an article about Joseph Maddalena, the new head of Heritage Auctions. (Maddalena was previously involved in the exposure of the Cusack Papers, a literary hoax which falsified evidence of a Monroe-JFK affair.)
