Spanish Artist Reimagines Marilyn’s Life in Graphic Novel

Marilyn: Una Biografía is a new illustrated biography by Spanish artist Maria Hesse, who has already published titles about Frida Kahlo and David Bowie. Over 175 pages, this hardcover book reimagines Marilyn’s life story. I don’t read Spanish, so can’t comment on the text. However, it is a feast for the eyes with beautiful artwork on every page. Visually speaking, Hesse has clearly done her research, creating artwork of real depth and charm – as you may have noticed, the cover image is inspired by Alfred Eisenstaedt’s 1953 session with Marilyn for LIFE magazine. For Spanish fans and art lovers, this will be a gorgeous addition to your Monroe library.
