After a 60th anniversary tribute to Douglas Kirkland (see here), French e-zine Crazy For You treats us to two bonus issues this weekend, revisiting Marilyn’s transformation from pin-up to glamour puss in for photographers Ernest Bachrach and Slim Aarons in late 1951. Having kicked off her new Fox contract with a trio of light comedies, Marilyn secured a more challenging part in RKO’s Clash By Night.
In publicity shots for the film, she swapped black lace for blue jeans – losing none of her sex appeal, as seen in another bathing suit layout.
