The British fashion designer Jenny Packham’s Resort 2023 Collection includes “a dazzling gown in a pleated gold lamé that recalled the Hollywood va-va-voom of Marilyn Monroe’s William Travilla dress in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953),” Vogue reports. The matching cape also reminds me of another gold lamé ensemble worn by Marilyn when she met Queen Elizabeth II in 1956.
