The Songs of Dorothy Dandridge, a tribute to the 1950s siren starring N’Kenge (above left), will be staged at Carnegie Hall in New York on July 17-18, Playbill reports. Dorothy was quite friendly with Marilyn (see here), who will be played by Dawn Derow (above right), with Grace Field as understudy (seen in costume below, with N’Kenge.) And Dewitt Fleming Jr. joins the cast as Phil Moore, the jazz maestro who worked with both women.
