Singer Halsey, who recently launched a cosmetics line, shared a ‘Marilyn Mon-Red moment’ with fans on Instagram yesterday, as Teen Vogue reports (even adding a Monroe-style beauty mark and a white terry-cloth bathrobe.) While Marilyn may have been Hollywood’s favourite blonde, she went redhead for several months in 1951 as you can see in Bob Landry’s photo shown above, with Halsey at right. But whatever Marilyn’s hair colour – which ranged from strawberry to honey blonde and most memorably, a ‘pillow-white’ platinum – red lipsticks of every shade were a staple in her beauty palette.

Halsey’s glamorous beauty routine included a red lip, subtle eye wings, and voluminous lashes. They paired the classic beauty with curly red hair. The shortened style included curled bangs and some pieces were tucked behind their ears. Halsey made the vintage look their own with the addition of dangling skeleton earrings.
The superstar definitely still loves looks filled with color and with a beauty evolution that’s included countless memorable looks, we’re sure they’ll debut more noteworthy glam in the future.”
It’s not the first time that Halsey has taken a leaf out of Marilyn’s style book – in 2018, she sported a blonde crop and ‘naked dress’ reminiscent of the ‘Happy Birthday Mr President’ dress (see here.)
