60 Years Later: Marilyn Remembered in Germany, Italy and Slovakia

This beautiful image from Marilyn’s ‘black dress sitting’ with photographer Bert Stern graces the cover of German auction house Henry’s August catalogue. (The dress, on loan from Vogue, was designed by Christian Dior.)

Italian author Teresa Ciabatti pays tribute to Marilyn in F Magazine (#33, dated August 23.) The cover image, from another of Marilyn’s last great photo sessions (with Douglas Kirkland) was recently seen on another cover story, for Vanity Fair‘s French edition.

And finally, Marilyn also made the cover of Môj Okamih Šťastia in Slovakia on the 60th anniversary of her death, with a publicity still for Monkey Business (1952), shot by Fox studio photographer Frank Powolny. (The magazine’s title translates as ‘My Moment of Happiness.’)
