A series of Marilyn’s movies runs through May at the Cinema Quattro Fontane in Rome, as part of the venue’s 20th Century Review.
“Actress, star, diva: there is no definition that does not fit the greatest icon of the twentieth century: MARILYN MONROE. The program includes two masterpieces that made her immortal (Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and Some Like It Hot), but also her last film, The Misfits. And then an authentic rarity like the low-budget thriller Don’t Bother to Knock; Niagara, which made her a star; and the brilliant How to Marry a Millionaire and The Prince and the Showgirl.”
Some Like It Hot – May 1st and 10th
How to Marry a Millionaire – May 2nd and 10th
Don’t Bother to Knock – May 3rd and 9th
The Prince and the Showgirl – May 3rd and 17th
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes – May 7th
The Misfits – May 8th and 16th
Niagara – May 15th
